I begin this chapter with an only slightly veiled attempt to establish my bona fides for an analysis of the 2020 election.  This analysis will eventually lead to my brutal arrest by five armed FBI agents at the Reagan National Airport, a fortunately brief sojourn in leg irons, a couple of hours in the same cell that John Hinckley was in after he shot Ronald Reagan – the guards made a point of letting me know that when I was in that cell – and a trial and appeals process that is now stretching for over two years and costing me countless dollars and time away from what might otherwise be a quite pleasant retirement.
