Absolutely a terrible decision. Biofuels are a waste of taxpayers money. Another subsidy that this country cannot afford. It’s also not worth a flip if it sits in a can or gas tank for more than a few weeks.
Totaly agree. Scrap all biofuels and help the farmers go back to growing wholesome food for people and livestock. Provided the transition subsidies are as generous as they are now getting, there should be no complaints.
It’s beyond anything in the constitution that the government is involved in all these mandates and subsidies. The farm bill is a giant welfare program disguised as helping farmers. The country outspends its means every year. I’m personally disgusted by it.
So you must like sending cash to the CCP who turns around and stabs us in the back. Sheesh. This is about American independence and innovation. The C- students are asleep at the wheel.
Great decision for the next year or two! Then wean the farmers off of subsidized crops altogether; our fuel will be better, and our taxes lower. Save them for a Manhattan Project to Make Geothermal Great Again! And maybe nuclear fusion too, if recent ads about Trump investments in TAE are to be believed.
I’ll pay a little more in taxes to stabilize food availability and lower grocery prices in the US. That way, maybe we can also avoid more corporate farming and reduce the purchase of prime farm land by corporations. We don’t want to have to depend on other countries for our food.
Well, the key is to free farmers & ranchers from tax-sucking subsidized food too—which favors corporate farms & chemical fertilizer companies. The giant meat packers amount to monopolies and must be splintered up.
How about E-zero. Cutting our gasoline with this stuff hurts consumers ie, there’s a big decrease in mpg and doesn’t help emissions anyway. Growing food crops for fuel increases costs for feed also. The RFS program should have been flushed down the toilet decades ago. Stop this ridiculous big government slop and find another way. Obviously it would save us $billions a year by relieving us from having to buy more gasoline and paying for all the ethanol refining facilities.
shrink gov arrest the criminals in it that put Peter in prison, Peter is a great man and deserved better he had great plans for is and they stole that time from us
Yeah well, except it doesn't give us cleaner air, the ethanol plants emit so many pollutants the EPA had to change the regs in order to make them legal, and the only cars that emit less pollutants are cars built before 1993 when oxygen sensors were mandated, plus it reduces milage and damages pistons, and wrecks small engines and the engines in antique cars. Bad idea the vast majority of us, but great for farmers... I'd rather they just write them a check.

Did you even listen to the interview? President Trump is “weaning” farmers from depending on sales of corn and soybeans to China.

Why do we supply corn & soy to a country that is out to destroy us??!!!😡
Oh you have given me another gem to talk about 👍

Soybeans are not healthy to eat. If you are meaning soybeans for fuel…good idea.
