Good summation of where we are. This was done deliberately, all of it. Anyone who thinks otherwise had better look at the deconstruction of our industrial base, and our inability to have a "surge" in manufacturing to increase the flow of weapons system replacements. Not just weapons systems, but just basic small arms and ammunition. We have to either import lead, or recycle it, which is a critical component in many things, especially small arms munitions. we have closed and offshored virtually all of our gun powder and explosives/chemical plants, and the chip sets that our military needs for advanced weapons are made in Taiwan, not to mention the Rare Earth Minerals that we no longer mine, along with molybdenum, chromium, and uranium. Heck, we still import the fuel for our reactors, including the ones on our Navy carriers and submarines, from, wait for it- Russia-no sanctions there. You can thank JoeBama and his folks for many of these, but the Bush crime family and the Clinton crime family are also very much responsible, as are we, because we believed their BS on "free trade". It's not looking so free right now, as it may cost us our country.
I do think China is a big concern, but Russia was certainly provoked by the current illegitimate administration and the Obama administration before it. The color revolutions, war mongering, and lack of diplomacy are pushing their enemies to band together. We need Trump, you, and other patriots back in the White House!

"Putin, the Grandmaster chess player" vs US checker players, is exactly how I have thought of all of this mess for years now. China was playing Go while we were playing checkers! 100%, I think this is what is happening. A Covid virus released from a lab in China nine months before the most important presidential election in my lifetime four years ago should make people believe there are no coincidences on the world stage. China got rid of the one person who could stop their ascent. No one seems to remember that China locked down Wuhan province at the outset of the pandemic while insisting to the WHO the virus was mild, simultaneously allowing Chinese migration abroad while preventing it domestically.
