Is Ron DeSantis a Useful Idiot for the Globalists or Machiavellian?
Peter Navarro's Taking Back Trump's America Podcast
This past weekend, the undeclared Ron DeSantis for President campaign fired a shot across the bow at President Trump. Literally, DeSantis was just a cannon shot four miles away from Mar a Lago at the posh Four Seasons resort in Palm Beach.
Machiavellian – or useful idiot – Ron was lining up a cadre of Globalist donors and former Trump staffers like feckless Mick Mulvaney in a three-day retreat.
Lining up behind DeSantis were the usual hedge fund managers suspects who, in the past year alone, have sucked literally billions of dollars out the pocketbooks and hides of the MAGA Deplorables by betting the stock market would fall. Among these punks in pinstripes were Ken Griffin and one of the most despicable figures in the swamp, Steve Schwarzman who, as I document in my In Trump Time book, played a key role scuttling with might’ve been a great trade deal with Communist China.
Add to this moneybags list a whole gaggle of big donors who contribute heavily to the Republican Party; and what we’re seeing here writ large is the clearest split between the Traditional Republicans of Wall Street and globalism who profit off the sweat of America’s blue-collar workers and love to offshore our jobs and open our borders versus the Trump MAGA Republicans who want to bring our jobs home from Asia and Mexico and around the world and who want to secure our borders.
Expect DeSantis to raise more than $100 million for his campaign from this crowd, and it is an open question as to whether or not DeSantis is simply playing Machiavelli and going to take that money and then do whatever the hell he believes is good for the nation OR whether DeSantis will simply be a puppet for the globalist elites.
So far, I’m betting on DeSantis as useful idiot. The one big thing that has always worried me about Ron DeSantis is that he knows absolutely nothing about the two most important policy issues this country continues to face – leveling the free trade field for American workers and manufacturers through instruments like tariffs and better trade deals AND the importance of policies like Buy American, Hire American in bringing home American jobs and manufacturing for long-term prosperity AND national security.
The abiding truth here is that just a few years ago DeSantis was a freshman congressman elected only because of the last-minute intervention of Donald Trump, he has virtually no foreign policy or international trade experience, and while DeSantis has made some good calls on domestic issues in the state of Florida, it would be a big learning curve for him going into the White House to deal with the likes of Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping.
In my Taking Back Trump’s America book, I make a strong case that Donald Trump and Ron DeSantis should hook up early as a presidential-vice presidential ticket. It would not only be unstoppable against the Democrats. It would also close out the field and prevents snipers like Nikki Haley and Chris Christie and Glenn DuncanYoungkin from taking money from the globalist elites and then taking pot shots at Donald Trump.
For Ron DeSantis, the beauty of taking the Vice President spot is that it would virtually guarantee him 12 years in the White House – four as Vice President where he could learn and two terms as president.
Instead, my fear is that DeSantis will have his head turned by the globalist elites now fawning over him and showering him with money. Note to Ron: They don’t love you at all. They simply hate The Donald and want him out forever.
And here is my fear regarding Donald Trump: Yes, Boss, you have to defend yourself against DeSantis at this point as he is coming hard at you – when you can see the whites of the globalist eyes from Mar a Lago just down the road writing million dollar checks for DeSantis, I know that will piss you off. But at this early stage, my piece of advice is that you don’t say anything about DeSantis or do anything about DeSantis that would rule him out from taking the Vice President spot.
Hey: If the Boss and Ron need a mediator to quickly work all this out, let me know. During my time in the White House, I did manage to quickly settle two major labor strikes that had gone on for weeks and months, and I did it behind closed doors and quickly. To be clear, I don’t expect either one of them to take my offer up, but hey, nothing ventured nothing gained.
My last two takes on the subject of the ongoing assault on Donald Trump by the globalist money elites as well as Fox News and the corporate media are these:
First, I was very disappointed to see Fox News ancho Maria Bartiromo and her Sunday Morning Futures show offer America a predictable Never-Trump lineup of guests that included another useful idiot for the global elites, Nikki Haley, who is already trying to kick Donald Trump in the groin; Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin, a former hedge fund manager and globalist who is expected to join the ranks of presidential candidates in the Never Trump camp; and Democrat Senator from West Virginia Joe Manchin who cast the deciding vote on several of Joe Biden’s profligate spending plans that are crushing us with inflation. There wasn’t a tough question from Maria in the whole hour.
To be clear: Nikki Haley is MAGA poison, Glenn Youngkin is not MAGA, and the Republican Party needs, to take back the Senate, take out Joe Manchin in the West Virginia 2024 election so Maria shouldn’t be giving any of these Never-Trumpers airtime. And yes, this is yet another example of Never-Trumpism at Fox news and why you should cut the Fox cable cord.
As for my second and last take, one of the hangers on at the DeSantis soirée again was, as noted, none other than former Trump OMB Director and former Acting Chief of Staff for Trump Mick Mulvaney. Again, as I document in my Taking Back Trump’s America book, Mulvaney was not only one of the worst Chiefs of Staff in history. He was a continuous globalist thorn in my side when it came to everything from getting tough on Communist China to moving Buy American, Hire American executive orders through the White House pipeline. Mulvaney is nothing more than an ingrate who owes everything to Donald Trump; and now Mulvaney is once again biting the hand that took him to the golf course and fed him. Go Brandon. Go Mick.
Well that’s it for this edition of the Taking Back Trump’s America podcast. Be sure and cut that Fox News cable cord. And please subscribe to this podcast and leave a review. Peter Navarro. Out with some words for our sponsors.

Peter, I always liked your comments and attitude. Keep up the pressure!
President Trump deserves his second term. Unless health issues make him decide that he can't run, I will not consider anyone else. I have little faith in the Republican Party, only some individuals in it. I have abandoned even seeing Fox News or listening to their Radio BS and don't understand why the few good people on Fox haven't bailed and gone their own way. I guess the big money is too much a temptation Money and fame over personal values and integrity = ("Get thee behind me, Satan.")
