I sometimes wonder if robust consumer spending in the teeth of inflation is caused by two things: a fatalist attitude of "eat drink and be merry for tomorrow we die" and/or the thought that we had better grab what we can now before things get even worse. Of late I can sense both of these running around in my head.

Peter, did you see that video of the community meeting on south side of Chicago talking about sheltering migrants and followed with uproar from attendee? someone in the crowd had a sign that read “build the wall 2024”, not what you typically see on south side of Chicago! That will propel trump to victory next year…. Book it

Are not the great profits we are seeing from the corporates really just that these corps have taken advantage of a crisis to somehow justify their greed, and wouldn't we expect to see profits significantly drop in future reports?

Why is it that "WAR", in Ukraine is the main source of inflation, yet it is never mentioned by any politicians and or Federal Reserve Representatives.
