Why is it that Republicans almost never learn from their disastrous mistakes?
Even though I don't usually rely upon the results of most polls, I will note that most of America was supporting the Republican demands of lower spending. This came from two different polls. Yet the swamp-like creature passing himself off as the Speaker of the House refused to commit his political power to seeing that condition through to conclusion.
As most Republican figureheads do, he capitulated.

Never have I been a McCarthy fan. Always was a Rhino. He blatantly refused to support our candidate for the 10th congressional district here in CA, 90 miles north of his own district, during the 2020 election which allowed for a Dem into the house. He is as big a weasel as McConnell.
Why did Trump back McCarthy for speaker? Why did Trump back Rhonda McDaniel to head the RNC. Why did the GOP back McConnell. Peter, your former boss actions contradict his words. Yea, we understand the economy sucks but what about the Covid and vaccine investigations. I’m beginning to think Trump is part of the problem and not the solution. RFK Jr is the only honorable person running in 2024. I realize he’s Democrat but what is Republican other then a fraud who stands for nothing.
Peter Navarro, the way to stop this eternal nonsense and economic suicide is to take away the power of Congress to borrow money. Sooner or later, probably sooner, everyone is going to see this, except Congress, but we can convince them with several million voters voicing their support for this. But let's not be too hard on McCarthy; he may be playing a masterful game. By agreeing to a deal, he has ended the impasse. That's #1, Biden can no longer blame Republicans. #2 McCarthy KNEW he would get pushback from his party. Maybe this deal is too important to be negotiated by only 1 man. Or maybe it's time to distinguish the RINOs who are just along for the ride in the party from the true Conservatives.
Mr. McCarthy has exceeded all expectations since his speakership vote, I say don't give up on him now. I think he's giving the true Replications a chance to JOIN him in the uphill fight.
In other words the GOP butt f----d the nation again. Wait until Russia accomplishes their mission in Ukraine. The uniparty with egg on their face will turn their wrath inward.
I agree the Nazi slowly driving his bayonet into the helpless American soldier is the movie's most chilling scene, but what made it most frightening to me is that the Nazi looked the soldier in the eyes and whispered, "Shhh," as if everything would be okay, just surrender and accept your death. Shockingly, you could see the soldier give up the fight and allow his death. It was that gaslighting that was so evil, and it's exactly what the DemonRats want MAGA to do - give up, everything will be okay. You, Steve and others must keep encouraging us to never surrender. Thank you for your leadership and courage.

Who are “the powers that be”?
In the USA, some believe in a “deep state” conspiracy involving intelligence agencies, corrupt politicians, military industrial complex, Big Pharma agency capture, etc. Yet, they can’t explain how this “USA deep state” also works in synchronicity, within hundreds of countries, where there’s no FBI, CIA, HHS, etc. Clockwork coordination of COVID genocidal response proved the existence of a “global deep state”, despite there is no global government!
There are no political or economic structures “formally” supporting such global governance. Then, who could run a government in the shadows without no mainstream media exposing it? Who controls global media in order to guarantee global censorship? Who has the network to pay political parties and political careers in hundreds of countries to control global politics?
In all countries, worship still had restrictions when everything else was opened in full. Casinos were packed in Vegas while churches lock-downed. Why were churches the last to recover freedom in every single lockdowned country without any exception? Is there a secret war between the city of Satan or the civilization of God?
