It’s so nice to not feel like the only one who feels that Powell is on team Biden. I do not have a degree from a fancy school but I can feel it in my bones that our economy is headed for a deep fall. My question is will it make it through election time or will it go off the cliff before that? This ridiculous stock market rise cannot continue.

"Voters know in their bones that something is terribly wrong with the American economy."

Not to mention the rapid advancement of the police state engineered by the. DOJ.

I would say JPow is average in relation to all the others. There was only one in the history of that corrupt institution that was above average, and that was Paul Volcker. The others were knuckleheads.

The other part of the problem is the dual mandate of the Fed. The problem is that this dual mandate is not something that is realistically a good idea. The US would be much better if the Federal Reserve didn't exist.

The Federal Reserve exists to transfer wealth from the Treasury to the banksters. It does this through inflation, which is built into its policies related to their dual mandate. Because of the Federal Reserve, the US borrowed the costs to enter World War 1; this amounted to about $30 million. As of today, none of that principal was paid back. The Treasury just kept on borrowing!

I actually read a piece on Substack by a liberal who referred to the economy upset as just “bad economic vibes”... they are clueless about true pain people are feeling financially

Everything is now performative and a con job now in America. The government is driving the economy without any hands on the wheel. The market has no real price signals. There's always an ulterior motive, and none of it benefits citizens and taxpayers. Every man/woman for themselves.

The fix is in for sure! Things that should happen with the stock market, gold etc. just don't because of government manipulation. It was the same in the Obama years. Experts were saying to buy gold but I ended up losing a signifiant amount of money because of holdings in it. All the printed money just kept going to the stock market. I still hold some gold as a hedge. I guess, eventually they won't be able to manipulate to their advantage but the timing on that is anyone's guess I think!

The People can use, greatly use, an interest rate cut. BUT, I doubt that will bode well for the Biden administration after 3 years of pain in the purse/wallet along with foreign, military failures, open border and the weaponization of the DOJ.

Many are seeing the corruption of this entire administration and sans cheating in Nov, the nation should see a major flip to GOP in DC and across the nation.

Maybe there are two economies here. One for those that make enough money that a spike in prices warrant a shrug of the shoulders and move on knowing that a little raise in pay may help out soon. Then there are the fixed incomers like myself and the lower income folk, who I am finding are working two jobs now. A few are basically working two full time jobs but most it's a full time and part time. A few people are doing some stocking up because they still see prices climbing and they are shelling it out now to beat the coming increases.

Biden CERTAINLY, never took economics 101, or 102! Basic economics, too many dollars, chasing too few goods! His UNWARRANTED attacks on the energy industry, has proven, CATASTROPHIC! Biden, couldn't shine President Trump's shoes, for "BUSINESS SAVVY, LEADERSHIP & ORGANIZATIONAL SKILLS!" Obviously, Trump's record vs Biden's, "SPEAKS FOR ITSELF!" It's not rocket science! Biden & Harris, COMBINED, couldn't run a lemonade stand! And, you know what, "THEIR RECORD PROVES IT!" TRUMP IN 2024! M.A.G.A!!!

I cannot see a scenario where this ends well since it’s a planned demolition of the US economy. They are purposely bringing it all down so we have to throw away all comparisons to the past.

We have to accept that Obama and whoever is really behind Biden are on a quest to bring down America. They hate America and Americans.

Obvious that the economy is not rosy was claimed. I talk to shopkeepers, gardeners et.al. and they are all struggling. It is a tragedy and travesty. Trump was to taken in by the RINO cabal through no fault of his own. Of course, no one ever listens to me and I have been in politics in one way or another for 80 years.
