Why My Criminal Case Heads for the Supreme Court

Yours Truly Outside the Federal Courthouse
13

Hey Substack Team,

Trying something a little different. You’ve got the audio from a standup I did to the press outside the Federal court in DC. Below is a transcript generated by Substack’s new AI feature.

If you want to see the video version, just go to:

HERE’S THE TRANSCRIPT. VIDEO IS KIND OF COOL.

We're in the Great Hall of the Supreme Court, about to enter the most important courtroom in the land.

The Supreme Court's impact is almost immeasurable.

What this, I think, means is that we'll have a trial next week, but these are questions that'll certainly move up the chains, the appellate level.

And as I said at the beginning, this is probably going to the Supreme Court because this is so important.

You can't have a Congress, a partisan Congress, that abuses the subpoena process

for the purpose of punishing the party that's out of power or putting somebody in jail.

Okay, in this case, clearly the J6 committee was trying to build a criminal case against President Trump.

And it was no coincidence that on Monday, one courtroom away from where I was in facing what could be an up to two year prison term, the president was facing a lot longer than that.

Okay, so the point here is the constitutional separation of powers issue is you can't have Congress under the Democrats doing what they have been doing and expect to have efficient, effective decision making in the executive branch.

That's what these constitutional separation of powers are all about.

p.s. Trying to get you the market update over the weekend but you can see I’m a little tied up.
